WHAT “INDEPENDENT ADVICE” REALLY MEANS
As a United Nations employee your options for receiving independent financial advice are limited. Working in remote developing countries means accessing advice locally is very challenging, if not impossible. The challenge is then compounded by the fact that your circumstances may change as you move from country to country.
While the UNFCU provides an array of financial services, it does not provide truly independent advice and offers only a limited range of investment products.
There are other third party financial advisories who offer financial advice services to UN employees. However, in our experience the majority of these are affiliated in some way to the UNFCU and receiving commission for helping to distribute financial products.
Working with us means receiving advice that is completely independent of the UNFCU or any other financial institution. Our transparent, fee-based model means that we are not remunerated by product providers and work for our clients only.
